    • Where does your tea come from? All of our teas are crafted consciously using herbs sourced from USDA-certified organic farmers, blended mindfully by a small-town girl with a big dream.

    • Do you grow any of your own herbs? Not yet, but that is part of our vision. Every ounce of support allows us to source herbs one step closer to home.

    • Is your tea caffeinated? Some tea blends may contain caffeine. Please see individual packaging for details.

    • Is your tea addictive? Not technically, no. ☺

    • We follow all Maryland cottage food and safety laws.

    • Where are you based? Lightning Rose Tea Co. is proudly based in Sykesville, MD.

    • Are these blends made by a certified herbalist? Our founder is passionate about herbalism and currently receiving herbal education. Every blend is thoughtfully researched and crafted with intention.

    • How does your giving back program work? $1 from every purchase is donated to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the National Alliance for the Children of Addiction (NACoA) — because we believe in healing the earth and healing families.

    • How much tea do I use per cup? We recommend 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8oz of water. Adjust to your taste preferences.

    • What temperature and steep time? Use water just off the boil — around 200-212 ℉. Steep for 5-7 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavor.

    • Do I need a special infuser? Any mesh infuser, tea strainer, or French press works beautifully. We recommend a fine mesh infuser for the best results.

    • Where do you ship? We currently ship tea throughout Maryland ONLY. Merch orders can be shipped throughout the U.S. and Canada.

    • How long does shipping take? For in-stock tea items, they will be shipped within 2 business days. If your item is out of stock, please see expected return date. Merch orders take 5-7 business days for shipping.

    • What is your return policy? We do not accept returns on opened products. Damaged or defective items will be replaced or refunded. Please contact within 7 days of receiving with any order issues.

    • Can I buy in person? Yes, we offer pre-scheduled pick-ups. We also provide porch delivery for free in 21784 on orders over $30. Follow us on social media for farmers market and event announcements!

    • How can I contact you? You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

    • Are your blends safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? Some herbs are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before consuming any herbal products if you are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive.

    • Can I drink these with medications? Certain herbs can interact with medications. If you take prescription medications or have a medical condition, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before adding herbal teas to your routine.

    • Are these blends safe for children? Our blends are formulated for adults. We recommend consulting your pediatrician before giving herbal teas to children.

    • Are your teas FDA approved? Herbal teas are classified as food products and are not evaluated or approved by the FDA to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Our blends are crafted with wellness in mind but are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.

    • I have a specific health condition — can I still drink your tea? We’re not healthcare providers and can’t give medical advice. When in doubt, check with your doctor first.
